There is a suspicion of a psychiatric background of the suspect • denied any connection to the murder • The judge announced that he will be released on Thursday if there is no progress in the investigation

Difficulties in the police investigation:

Tel Aviv Magistrate's Judge Or Mammon extended by five days the detention of a Ramat Gan resident suspected of the murder of his 27-year-old girlfriend, whose body was discovered in the two's apartment in the bathroom.

Despite the detention extension, the judge informed police that if there is no development in the investigation, he will be forced to release him on Thursday.

About two weeks ago, the body of a 27-year-old woman was found lifeless in the bathroom of the apartment where she lived with her partner in Ramat Gan.

A 32-year-old spouse was arrested for questioning.

Her body was taken for examination to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, where it was revealed that she died as a result of drowning.

Since then the suspect has been remanded in custody four times in court where it has been alleged by police that the evidence attributed to the suspect, including the autopsy report, intensifies the suspicion and there is a clearer indication of unnatural and unintentional death.

There is also a suspicion of the suspect's psychiatric background.

It was further noted that there were many material contradictions in his investigations and things that did not work out with the scene of the incident.

Among other things, media data were also revealed to the police, including WhatsApp messages sent by the deceased.

The police also asked to publish the details of the suspect, in light of indications received since the previous hearing to know if there are any further incidents.

The suspect himself has denied and continues to deny any connection to the murder and today the police again asked to extend his detention, this is due to the fact that there is one lone finding that has not yet been investigated.

Judge Mammon agreed to extend his detention until Thursday, but noted that if the investigation did not proceed properly he would release him next time under house arrest.
